Ladies First...

“What will you like to drink sir?” the bartender asked Phillip as he sat down at the bar.
“I’m feeling naughty tonight, how about we break the speed limit, 100 miles per hour please”
“One hundred miles per hour coming up.” The bartender said with a smile that told Phillip he appreciated the joke.
   A few seconds later, the bartender was back with two cocktails. He set one down in front of Phillip and the other down in front of the lady sitting two stools away from Phillip.
   He looked at her and smiled.
“I’m not the only one feeling naughty tonight am I?”
“Apparently not.” She replied with a smile.
And that was how the conversation started.
   Phillip had planned the way the night would go the night before. When she told him her name, he knew it was Katherine with a K not a C even before she told him. He had gathered intel on the lady and felt he knew more about her than she knew about herself. His plan that night was the same as always;

1.       Arrange a meeting.
2.       Get acquainted.
3.       Take her to a hotel room.
4.       Kill her.

His routine for killing men was different.
   As the conversation continued he realized that for the first time in his ten years of being an assassin, he was finding it hard to adhere to the one rule assassins were expected never to break; “Never get attached to the target!”
   Katherine was sweetness personified. She made Phillip feel like they had known each for fifteen years rather than fifteen minutes. She spoke with a voice that pleased Phillip’s ears. To cap it all, she was beautiful. The bar wasn’t too bright but Phillip still couldn't help noticing how stunning she looked in her red dress.
“Too bad I have to kill her” Phillip thought to himself. He had no idea when he made up his mind but five minutes later when they made their way out of the bar, he knew he had to find a way to kill her and still have her alive.
   Phillip scanned the streets and saw a familiar car. He knew they’d be watching him. He thought of a new plan, one that would shield Katherine from danger. Just as they reached his car, Phillip had an idea. He said to Katherine “If you don’t mind, I’ll like to stop at McDonalds before we go back to my room, I’m craving their fries”
